RAF Tucanos. What a amazing sight
The last few days we have had some stunning sights of 2 RAF Tucanos flying over the skies of Northern Ireland and Dungannon area.
According to RAF Aldergrove, today Wednesday is the last day of maneuvers so keep your eyes looking upwards !

NI Area Open Thermal Champs 8th Aug 2010
Both Reggie and Richard Boyd flew in the Area Thermal Championships, in Richards words “ it was a fantasic days flying ”
This was our first time to fly of a winch and it was extremely exciting.
We got of to a great start but had a few poblems in the second round hence the lower placing.
Roll on next year , beware Andrew and Sam.
A massive thanks to Bill Scott and the Nimsa members for helping us and giving us both tips on how to get the best from our planes.
We also have to thank Andrew Wallace for the lend of his gliders for the event.
Andrew aint getting them back !

NIAA Scale Championships 4th July
The forecast for Sunday is not very good! High winds and rain.
A decision will be made on whether the event goes ahead at 9 pm Saturday 3rd July 2010. This decision will be posted to the Area website straight away.
Anyone planning to attend the event should check on Saturday evening to ensure it is still on

I have seen some crazy flying in my time but using your glider to round up the cows sure takes the biscuit !
