Finally yesterday 23rd of February weather conditions were perfect for John to maiden his scratch build B52 PSS glider. Winds were gusting to 30mph on the East facing slope of Slieve Gallion and wind chill factor felt like -30 , man it was so cold up there !
Hi , since Christmas I have been updating my indoor planes and this is my latest plane. It is the big brother of my loved SuK-31.
New camcorder and still learning so excuse the editing !!!!!
By all accounts the First Jet Fly-in of 2010 was a massive success.
Both George and Harry from our Club had a fantastic time.
Full report can be found HERE on the NI Jets site.
Thanks to Peter and John for the report and pictures.
The date has been set for the Area Aerobatics competition !!!!!
The 25th of April 2010 will again see pilots from North and South of Ireland visit Ballymoney Club for the first of a 2 leg NI aerobatic competition.
Matthew Poots and his team from Banbridge MFC will again be the event organizers.
Matt has this year given us a real target to improve our flying skills. As Matt rightly stated, if we learn to fly the schedules then our general flying skills will improve. On this point he would encourage all types of planes to fly in the basic schedule. The key is to improve ! we all have a suitable plane !!! let it be a basic aerobatic plane like a WOT 4 or a Panic.
I would love to see more of our Club pilots take up the challenge of learning to fly a schedule and with Matthews guidance then this will be achievable to us.
The weekend 24-25th of January 2010 , I was again honored to be invited back to the Lithuanian F3P Championships.
What a weekend this turned out to be !
